Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 5 November 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the R8 mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”), operated by RGDG SYSTEMS – FZCO (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Overview of R8

R8 is a digital marketplace that connects users (“Customers”) with independent chefs and culinary creators (“Chefs”) who prepare and offer dishes for purchase. R8 does not produce, package, or deliver food. We provide platform functionality to enable discovery, ordering, communication, and payments.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your account information is accurate and secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms.

3. Role of R8 & Independent Chefs

  • Chefs are independent providers, not employees, agents, or partners of R8.
  • Chefs are solely responsible for food preparation, safety, labeling, delivery arrangements, legal compliance, and pricing.
  • R8 does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any food or menu information.

4. Orders, Payments & Pricing

  • Prices, fees, and available dishes are displayed in the Service and may change at any time.
  • Payment processing is performed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full payment card details.
  • By placing an order, you authorize the payment provider to charge your selected payment method.
  • Refunds or adjustments may be handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

5. Delivery & Pickup

  • Delivery may be provided by Chefs or third-party couriers.
  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to external factors.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate location and access details.
  • If an order cannot be delivered due to incorrect details or lack of access, refunds may not be available.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Once a Chef begins preparing your order, cancellations may not be possible.
  • If a Chef cancels due to unavailability, you may receive a refund or alternative resolution.
  • Requests for adjustments must be submitted promptly, ideally within 24 hours of receiving the order.

7. Food Safety, Allergens & Dietary Needs

  • Chefs are responsible for listing ingredients and allergens, but information may not always be complete.
  • If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, you must contact the Chef before ordering.
  • R8 is not liable for allergic reactions, food-related health incidents, or dietary preference issues.

8. User Reviews & Content

  • You may post reviews, photos, and ratings; these must be truthful and respectful.
  • You grant R8 a non-exclusive license to use such content in connection with the Service.
  • We may moderate or remove content but are not obligated to review all submissions.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activities or to violate any rights of others.
  • Impersonate others or create fraudulent accounts.
  • Interfere with or disrupt platform functionality.
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the Service.

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, branding, UI/UX design, code, and platform content are owned by or licensed to RGDG SYSTEMS – FZCO. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee continuous, secure, or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RGDG SYSTEMS – FZCO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including food-related health issues or transactional disputes between Customers and Chefs.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RGDG SYSTEMS – FZCO from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Dubai.
